How to Access the Community of Science Database

To connect from a computer on campus, go to fundingopps.cos.com.

To access the Community of Science database from an off-campus computer, you will need to create a COS Workbench (which requires you to select a personal username and password).

To do so, go to www.cos.com/login/join.shtml and click the “Join” button. Then, follow the step-by-step instructions for creating a COS Workbench. (Make sure you record the username and password that you have selected, as you will need them shortly to enter the system.) You then login to your Workbench at login.cos.com and you can access the Funding Opportunities database via the link found in the section entitled “Search COS Databases.”
